Hot girl, Summer
Admiring herself in the mirror - Heidi sneered and glanced at the crumpled hoodie and baggy jeans laid out on the bed. She knew she should be putting on her former clothes and reassuming her old life - but it was such a wrench to change out of Summer's designer dress and put on those disgusting rags.
"Ugh, so unfashionable," she scoffed - wondering what had ever possessed her to wear such disgusting clothing in the past.
Her hand idly twirled her perfect blonde hair, the plain silver ring her Grandmother had gifted her shining in the light. She should probably take that off too - but she didn't want to.
The thought of taking off the ring actually pained her. She had worn the ring for a month now, at first it had felt strange on her hand - but now she barely thought about it... or it's supposed power.
When Heidi had been asked to appear in the end of year school play as the villainous, Summer - a clichéd rich bully and uber-bitch - she hadn't been sure she could pull off the role.
She'd gone to see her Grandma - a former famous actress - who had let Heidi into her greatest secret... 'The Role Ring'. This unassuming piece of jewellery allowed its wearer to perfectly adopt any persona - but only by continually acting like that person and actually becoming just like them.
By hanging out with the mean girls and bullies - by aping their behaviours and dress she had begun to change.
At first it had just been general irritation with her friends and a new enthusiasm for makeup, boys and clothes - but as the week went on she slid deeper and deeper into her role.
People began to call her Summer and she ostracised her former nerdy friends with glee. She began dating a quarterback and staying out late... swiftly losing her virginity and ascending to be the most popular girl at school.
One night she found her feet carrying her to the mansion of the towns richest couple and when she entered their house she discovered they believed her to be their daughter. Her old family seemed to forget about her completely and by this point she no longer cared. It was only for another week before she went back... what harm could it do?
In her new bedroom - Heidi put on designer clothing and felt her body posture and attitude change further as she became an evil, manipulative, spoiled bully. Her new dresses and heels felt so much better on her sexy body. She couldn't remember if she ever used to be this thin or pretty, but she no longer cared. This was who she was now.
The next day she got her hair and nails done and the last traces of her former self were completely banished for good. Only Summer remained.
The week of the play arrived and everyone thought how appropriate it was that the schools biggest bully Summer was just playing herself. Her performance was perfect and people loved it.
But now it was over and Heidi knew she should take off the ring and go back to her former self. The problem was... she didn't want to.
"Heidi is dead," sneered Summer with a viscious grin as she gathered up the clothing and former belongings of her old self and stuffed them into a bin bag. "I'm never going back..."
She laughed as she hurled the clothing into the bin outside and rubbed her pretty hands together with glee.
"I'm going to have a hot girl summer - and then beyond."
Summer had round her favourite role and she was never going to stop acting it out from now on.
THE END
